“Always stay up to date on the news.” That was the best advice that Howl’s father had ever given him, and it was words which had stuck with him throughout his life. He sighed contently, reading his daily newspaper at a secluded spot in the park. He couldn’t sit on the grass otherwise he would dirty his suit, so he stayed on one of the benches. His high from the night before had worn down and he was back into his usual self—Calm, suave, and thirsty for something that he could never get.
He jumped when he felt someone touch his shoulder. “What do you want?” He demanded fiercely, only softening when he saw who he was talking to.
